Spend your Saturday with visiting artist Maria Borghoff! Awaken your creative spark with Yoga and art-making! Yoga for Creatives developed as a natural process after realizing that all of my best artwork came from my practice and study of Yoga. This workshop series will help you explore your creative process through gentle movement, meditation, journaling, ceramic art, and weaving. The first day will use clay to create Palate Platters that reflect our unique experience of perception and action. On Sunday, we will use mixed-media weaving to explore our conscious desires and habitual behaviors by making a tapestry that harnesses the power of intention. Participants will create expressive artworks and discover how Yoga can be a source of inspiration and self-expression. Can’t make it the full weekend? No problem. Enrollment is available for either Saturday or Sunday only. Also, look out for her Somatic Drawing class that starts next week!Maria Borghoff, BFA, resides in Atlanta, GA and is a community artist, creative wellness coach, and curator at GROOVE. Her interdisciplinary artwork is inspired by somatic psychology, bioenergetics, Sri Vidya Tantra, Hatha Yoga, and Qi Gong. Maria has taught in studios, museums, universities, and community centers, and she has published writing and exhibited artwork nationally.
