YogART for Kids: The Peace Sign

The peace sign is an example of a mudra symbol, which are positions of the body or hand gestures that have some kind of influence on the energies of the body, or your mood. Another example of a well-known mudra is placing palms together (Namaste). Students will learn about the meaning and symbolism behind many different mudra symbols, and will learn how to use them during their personal yoga practice. Fun creative mixed media art projects incorporating the mudra theme will be carried out throughout the 3 day class.
