Wheel Throwing for Teens

1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

$120 (10% discount for members) + $24 clay and firing fee.

Learn how to use clay to create various pieces on the wheel. Class will begin with a detailed demonstration and overview of how to handle clay and use equipment properly. After the demonstration, students have their try at creating cylinders on the wheel – the foundation for all clay vessels. On the last days of class, students will learn how to trim, add handles or other decorative elements and glaze/paint pieces. Students will take home prized pottery.
