Get weird with drawing and illustration in this class. Students will learn about stippling, which is a technique using many small dots to create naturalistic gradation of tones, which is portrayed in scientific illustration.  Learn how to use line and stippling techniques to suggest and render form, create texture, and build a dynamic, clean image using pen and ink. Class will examine specimens like animal skulls, or taxidermied animals. On the first day of class, students will receive a drawing pad and a personal pack of Micron pens of varied thicknesses to achieve the perfect values when drawing.
