Watercolor Workshop

During this workshop, students will start out the day with studies as Heather leads the group to play and explore a variety of wonderful watercolor techniques (wet on wet, dry brush, masking, washes, color layering, and mixing). In the afternoon, Heather will guide everyone through a more focused study (from a still life or a photograph). Students may bring their own photographs if they would like. Materials needed: Cheap watercolor paper for experiments, a nicer sheet of watercolor paper for a final study, basic watercolor set (cakes or tubes), a variety of brushes, a large palette, and a water cup. If you have extra materials that you're interested in bringing, feel free!
