Suminagashi and The Year of the Monkey

Enjoy your weekend with Karen learning an introduction to Sumi-e east asian brush painting. Students will learn about “the four treasures”, how to correctly load ink onto your brush, and some basic brushstroke techniques that help students achieve a successful composition. There will be several demonstrations each day with a hands-on teaching style and plenty of practice time. Karen will also lead several relaxation techniques to help with learning and living the sumi-e life. Happy Year of the Monkey!
