Learn how to see better and shoot better in this sports photography workshop where you take to the sidelines and shoot with award-winning sports photographer Jeff Swinger. Learn how to navigate your digital SLR camera, capture your athletes in action with stunning photographs, and increase your comfort level and creativity with your camera around your neck. This workshop will be a combination of both classroom time, and field time. In class, you will learn the importance of shutter-speed aperture and ISO as well as the proper way to edit images and archive files. Outside, participants will learn to survey the field of play for the best light and angles. The class also will cover lens choice, anticipation of peak action and reaction, and sideline safety. Whether your athlete is kicking a soccer ball, playing football, riding a mountain bike, or downhill racing, this class will give you the basic skills to capture every exciting moment! No cell phones or point-and-shoot camera, digital SLR cameras only.
