This class is for adults interested in ceramic techniques. All skill levels are welcome from beginner to advanced, handbuilders and wheel throwers alike. Design a tableware presentation in this hands-on intensive place setting class. The focus will be on making a unified set: cups, bowls, plates and centerpiece. Identify and explore the relationships within and between forms. Learn new ways to move clay with skill building exercises. Demonstrations will offer techniques combining simple altered, wheel thrown or handbuilt slab parts depending on your preference. We will cover basic template making and forming tips for sets. Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready to pick up 12-14 days after the class session is finished.
