Screen Printing on Clay

This class is for adults interested in ceramic techniques from beginner to advanced levels; both hand builders and wheel throwers are welcome. The focus of the class will be on techniques to make screens of any image you desire for printing onto a clay surface. We will make your desired clay objects in the first half of class while practicing the screen making and printing technique on wet clay tiles. When your desired work is ready, prints of your chosen imagery will be screened onto your clay masterpiece with underglaze and oxides as ink and made permanent in a kiln firing. Black and white images work best but playing and experimenting with color is encouraged.
