This class will show students how to re-purpose, repair, and create handmade jewelry from old gold and silver jewelry, with or without stones. We will identify real gold and silver jewelry that the student can work with to create their art. Students come up with a creative project of hand making a piece of jewelry, and/or repairing and restoring a piece of jewelry. This class will show various metal forming, assembly, soldering, repair, polishing, and finishing techniques. Come to class prepare with a couple of project ideas including rings, pendants, earrings, chains, bracelets, broaches, stones, time-piece jewelry, etc. This class will show students how to create or fix up any gold or silver piece of jewelry to wear, or to give as gifts.   Extra materials for a project can be provided for an additional cost.
