Plaster Molds & Slip Casting

Mold making and slip-casting are great skills to have when working with clay. In this workshop, participants will learn to make simple plaster molds and cast objects using clay slip. Participants will learn how to build and assemble using a combination of found slip-casting molds along with their own cast objects. This class will create sculptural multiples that can be combined and altered in limitless configurations and possibilities. We will discuss the technicalities and the benefits of slip casting forms. All skill levels are welcome from beginner to advanced. Due to drying and firing times, pottery will be ready for pick up 10-12 days after class has ended.
