Classically trained Sandy Freckleton Gagon will lead a two-day workshop that will sequentially present concepts of visual perception and their application to drawing the human figure from direct observation. It will take you through the steps of drawing the figure with this traditional medium used by great masters throughout art history. Sandy will familiarize the students with techniques and particular qualities of drawing as a means of expressing the form in an optically convincing manner. Students will use the following concepts: Anatomy, materials demonstration, five step drawing process, perception of value and light logic.
