Painting What Matters Most

In this class students will develop creative ideas to visually express what topics matters to them, and will discuss these ideals and thoughts with the class. Students will look at various artists and discuss the messaging behind their art as well. Every student will bring their own sketchbooks to sketch inside and outside of the classroom as students are inspired. Emily will teach basic elements and principles of drawing and painting, giving the students the tools they need to translate their thoughts and ideas onto their canvas. This is a great class to get teens thinking about how art can send powerful messages!
