Matisse Cut-Outs and Printmaking

Using the primary palette red, yellow and blue that Matisse preferred with his cut outs, we will cut out shapes to create bold, crisp monotype prints! Using non-toxic water based inks, each class will
focus on a different image content such as animals, still life, geometric design, people, hearts & flowers, sports, or holidays. Monotypes are fun and spontaneous. Looking at and using the simple shapes and colors used by Matisse are also lots of fun!
