Making Pottery Together: Wheel Throwing I

$50 per child/adult pair or $25 per project - materials included
Learn the basics of wheel throwing! Students will learn how to throw on the wheel and will decorate and add glazes to finish their pieces. A wheel throwing demo will be given and then students will work beside their family member to each create one wheel thrown piece. Students will add handbuilt embellishments and paint so that their piece is ready to fire in the kilns. Please note that children under 7 cannot use a wheel independently as they are not strong enough and must share a wheel with an adult. Due to firing and drying times, pieces will be ready for pick up 12-14 days after class.
