Holga Wet Plate Photography Workshop

Saturday, August 29

10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (lunch break)

With David Hyams

$90 (10% discount for members) + $60 materials fee.

Take a trip back in time with this fun workshop and learn the basics of wet plate collodion photography.  Using toy Holga cameras, the type that inspired Instagram and countless other popular photo apps, we will create one of a kind tintype images using a wet plate collodion process which was introduced in 1851.  We will use beautiful Park City as our back drop to create instant photographs on blackened metal, with each image being unique like a snowflake.  Get hands on experience with the materials and chemistry, and show your photographic vision in a new and exciting way.

*Please note that the membership discount price is based on an honor system.  We will be referencing your account to confirm your active membership with the Kimball Art Center.  If you are not a member and would like to receive discounts on classes as well as other benefits, please visit our membership webpage: http://www.kimballartcenter.org/membership/
