Folded Book Workshop

Take a folded books workshop taught by visiting artist Nicole Pietrantoni, whose work will be featured in the Kimball's Main Gallery (Nicole Pietrantoni: Alas Alack, February 10–April 15, 2018)! Students will get to explore a series of simple folded structures accordion, snake book, x-book and pants book. After practicing the four different structures with color copy paper, students will select one structure to make a more refined book using collage, writing/journaling and drawing to fill its pages. By the end of the class, students will have a finished product they get to take home. This workshop is recommended for teens and students who are 8 and older.
