In the digital age, taking the photo with a camera (or phone!) is only half the process. The rest of the image creation happens on a computer. Practically every element of photography can be manipulated after the fact. While editing has always taken place (think darkroom manipulation), the extremes that are now available through digital processing are infinite! It’s hard to even post a photo on Instagram without the need to add a filter. Let’s learn how these filters are created and make our own! Using simple programs such as iPhoto to the industry standard (Photoshop), we will learn the basics of digital photography processing and editing.
