Join Holly Cobb in creating paintings which explore the hybridization of two traditional fine art genres, portraiture and still life painting. This workshop will provide students with the opportunity to review portrait and still life painting techniques then use those techniques with elements of collage and abstraction to overlap, fuse and manipulate the two painting categories. Students will learn how to choose and study their subjects, combine their imagery digitally or by hand, then use their images to create a final oil painting. Models will be present during the portrait sessions. This workshop will help you discover how to experiment with the visual language of your figurative and still life painting techniques to advance your creative skill set. This class is recommended for adults 18+.
