Join Utah-based illustrator and artist David Habben for a workshop that will help you prepare your unique children's story for publication. We'll learn the process for effective text placement and pacing, plus creating engaging compositions and book formatting. Students will gain a greater understanding of illustration through the process using their sketchbook to refine their artwork as well as their story. If you're looking to take your book one step closer to being published, this is the class for you! David "HABBENINK" Habben is an artist and illustrator based in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. His work can be found in children's books, interactive campaigns, apparel, and galleries throughout the world. David received his BFA from Brigham Young University in 2006 and was a Children's Book Design Fellow at Chronicle Books in 2008. After several years of freelance illustration and design, he has recently entered the MFA Studio Art program at the University of Utah.  View his work at www.habbenink.com.
