Kids have fun learning about recycling, art, and the environment.  Students will learn the story of how plastic comes to be, its daily use as well as the beauty and artistic function. Recycled plastic is not just ‘waste’ - it can be made into awesome pieces of art!  Students will walk from the Kimball Art Center to the Recycle Center to learn about how the organization works to help support the environment, then kids will make a sculpture out of recycled materials to show how recyclable materials can be made into something truly beautiful.
