Alternative Clay Techniques

This class is for adults interested in ceramic techniques. All skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome, as well as hand builders and wheel throwers. The focus of the class will be on building and embellishing ceramic objects with unusual materials and techniques. Students will explore techniques such as using burnout materials dipped in clay slip then fired, paper backing with clay for extreme thin slab work. There is lots of freedom in this class to be creative and make unique objects and sculptures!
